I cannot tell you how many times I’ve walked down the street, headphones on, music blasting, and when a new song began to play, I instantly got an idea for a scene, a sequence, a shot, a character moment, or a storyline.
I hate to think that I’m the only one experiencing this because, for me, it’s just so darn effective. If you’ve never tried this before, I recommend you give it a shot. The next time you feel stuck or in need of inspiration, go out for a walk, put on your headphones, and listen to a new piece of music.
