The reason I rant and rave about the importance of mastering the craft of screenwriting is that I think that it opens all the right doors for independent filmmakers. However, some people have a great directorial vision with absolutely no writing ability or lack the desire to write. While this portion of the book is targeted towards indie filmmakers who write their own scripts, I thought I would take a minute to give you my two cents on how to get a great script without actually writing it yourself.
